VETinCon - Integration of disadvantaged young people into vocational training in the construction industry (2015 - 2018)

Project goal:

The measures and projects for recruiting young people for the German construction industry already cover many options for recruiting young people with different levels of training maturity for the industry. Despite everything, everyone should dare to look beyond the so-called own nose from time to time in order to get suggestions from outside and impulses for developments.

Content and tasks of Bau Bildung Sachsen e. V.

From September 2015 to August 2018, Bau Bildung Sachsen e. V. a European project consortium. This exchanged views on increasing equal opportunities for disadvantaged young people and their successful integration into vocational training in the construction sector. The initial situation was that the construction companies in all partner countries were concerned that they would no longer be able to cover the need for skilled workers. In the course of the project, the partners from Germany, Holland, Slovakia, the Czech Republic, Sweden and Italy first get an overview of the examples of good practice in the respective country for recruiting young people. Individual measures from other countries were then adapted and tested for use in their own country. The project results were summarized in a practical handbook.

The practical manual is now available for free download.
