Educate2Innovate (2015 - 2018)

Project goal:

The aim of the project was to enrich initial vocational training in the construction industry with teaching content on sustainable construction and energy efficiency.

Content and tasks:

The content of the project was the development, testing and establishment of online learning modules on the content of sustainable construction and energy efficiency in vocational training in the construction industry in three European countries.

The three-year project was led by the Dutch building education center Bouwmensen Amersfoort. The Bouwmensen Limburg (NL) and Bau Bildung Sachsen e. V. as well as the Malmö Högskola (SE) and the TU Dresden as university partners.

In the course of the project, a web-based learning platform for ten learning modules on energy-efficient, green building was developed. The partners from Holland, Sweden and Germany worked closely together to develop the modules and adapted the learning modules to country-specific requirements. Trainees and teaching staff from the educational providers involved in the project tested the modules as part of transnational teaching-learning activities. In addition to training in the content of sustainable construction, the participants were given a targeted look beyond the national horizon of their own professional training. The learning modules are to be used in the long term as part of vocational training in the partner countries.

The project was funded by the European Union as a strategic partnership via the Erasmus+ program.
